I've been a Coach since I graduated College in 2006. I have had the pleasure of coaching everyone from 7 year old gymnasts, D1 athletes, weight loss clients, rehab patients, grandmothers, grandfathers, moms and dads. There is no better joy than watching someone I work with turn the corner on something they once thought was physically impossible. I grew up playing sports and had the opportunity to even play Collegiate Lacrosse. I believe firmly that through competition a person will find a new version of themselves. I still play to this day, but my greatest joy has been Coaching my two sons, Ashton and Landon.
My story is not one of a weight loss journey or struggling with poor eating habits as a child but I do understand what it means to have an addiction that has ruined the lives of millions. in 2014, I was overprescribed opioid medication for a herniated disc, and it ended up taking control of my life for almost 2 years. That time in my life took a lot of soul-searching to come out of and it's something I often look back on in during trying times. Most of us deal with these demons, maybe from our past or maybe you're going through it right now. Just know, whether it's losing weight, drugs, alcohol, or getting that first pull-up, having a support system to lean on will only help you accomplish it sooner. T.E.A.M. Together Everyone Achieves More. We got this!
I lost my father when I was 13. He suffered Cardiac arrest following a morning jog around my High School's gym. He was in his early 50's and way too young. This happens now far too often and it has been my mission to try and add the habit of eating whole foods and getting in daily movement as part of a normal daily routine for my clients.
